All plans cancel anytime — no contracts. Chat plans include a 14-day free trial.
Getting started
- Pick a product at
churchwiseai.com/pricing. - Sign up — you'll be prompted to create a church record (name, denomination, email) and pay via Stripe.
- Check your email for a magic link. Click it to reach your admin dashboard at
churchwiseai.com/admin/[token]— save that URL; it's your login. - Configure — add service times, staff, ministries, and (for voice/chat) upload your church's custom knowledge.

- Chatbot setup — widget code for your site, knowledge base populated
Billing & subscription management
- Manage Subscription — link in the admin dashboard top-right opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can change plans, update payment, download invoices, and cancel.
- Annual vs monthly — annual is ~1 month free + setup fees waived on voice/bundle/custom-domain. Switch via Stripe Customer Portal.
- Trial — 14-day free trial on chat plans only (Starter / Pro / Suite Chat). No trial on voice, bundle, or Pro Website (preview mode serves that purpose).
- Receipts — every charge triggers a Stripe receipt to the email on your account. Tax receipts addressed to a church: email hello@churchwiseai.com.
How to cancel
All plans cancel anytime — no contracts, no retention calls, no fees. Two ways:
The 60-second self-serve path (recommended)
- Open your admin dashboard at
churchwiseai.com/admin/[your-token](same URL from your welcome email). - Click Manage Subscription in the top-right of the dashboard. This opens the Stripe Customer Portal signed in as your church.
- Click Cancel subscription. Confirm.
That's it. You'll get a Stripe email confirming the cancellation.
The email path
If you can't find your admin token or the portal won't open, email hello@churchwiseai.com with your church name. We'll cancel on our end and send you a confirmation within one business day.
What happens next
- Access continues through the end of your current billing period. If you paid through Apr 15 and cancel on Apr 3, your chatbot, voice agent, Pro Website, and admin dashboard all keep working until Apr 15.
- No data is deleted at cancellation. Prayer requests, call logs, visitor contacts, chatbot history, and your FAQ knowledge base all stay in the database. If you come back in 3 months or 3 years, everything is exactly where you left it — no setup required.
- Public-facing surfaces (your
.john316.churchPro Website subdomain, your chatbot widget, your voice agent phone number) stop serving at the end of the paid period. If you reactivate, the subdomain and phone number are held for 90 days and can be restored. After 90 days the phone number may be reassigned. - Refunds — we don't pro-rate mid-cycle (Stripe standard). If you were charged inside the last 24 hours and haven't used the service, email hello@churchwiseai.com and we'll refund it manually.
- Annual plans — annual customers can cancel anytime, but the refund policy is the 30-day window from the annual charge date. Email us if you're past that window and have a circumstantial reason (staff change, budget freeze, etc.); we handle these case-by-case.
Coming back
Your admin token and church record are preserved indefinitely. To reactivate, visit churchwiseai.com/pricing, pick a plan, and sign in with the same email — we'll link the new subscription to your existing church data.
Still stuck

HEAR Protocol — what it is, why it matters
HEAR (Honor, Empathize, Acknowledge, Respond) is the pastoral care framework baked into every AI agent across ChurchWiseAI. It governs how the chatbot and voice agent respond to visitor questions:
- Honor — treat the person as made in God's image
- Empathize — start from what they're feeling, not what they're asking
- Acknowledge — show you heard them before offering a response
- Respond — answer the question or escalate to human care
All crisis-adjacent conversations (prayer requests, grief, mental health, marriage, death) trigger additional safety routing. Voice agent will offer to transfer to a live person if the caller requests pastoral care. Chatbot will escalate to a callback request if crisis keywords are detected.

Troubleshooting
"I never got the magic-link email after signing up"
Check spam. If it's not there within 5 minutes, re-request from the login page. If it still doesn't arrive, email hello@churchwiseai.com and we'll provision manually.
"My voice agent isn't answering calls"
Check the admin dashboard Status tab — if your phone number shows pending_provisioning, we're still wiring it. Typical provisioning is 10-30 min for new Telnyx numbers. If it's been >24 hours, email hello@churchwiseai.com.
"My chatbot isn't showing on my website"
Paste the widget snippet from the admin dashboard → Settings → Chatbot. Common miss: the script tag needs to be in the <body>, not <head>. Verify with your browser dev tools (Network tab, look for /api/chatbot/stream requests).
"My Pro Website isn't updating after I saved changes"
Changes go live within 60 seconds via incremental static regeneration. Hard-refresh your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R). If it's been >2 minutes, email hello@churchwiseai.com.
"I want my own domain on my Pro Website" (bundled tier only)
Go to Settings → Domain. Enter your domain (e.g., mychurch.org). Follow the CNAME instructions shown. $49.95 one-time setup fee (waived on annual). SSL auto-provisions once DNS propagates (5-15 min after CNAME is live).
"A caller said the voice agent hung up on them"
Check the Calls tab in your admin dashboard for the call log and transcript. If the agent couldn't understand, upload clearer knowledge base content covering what the caller asked. For persistent issues, email hello@churchwiseai.com with the call date/time.
"I need to add a team member with limited access"
Settings → Team → Add Member. Choose a role (admin / office_admin / prayer_team / care_team / volunteer_coordinator / treasurer / worship_leader). Each role sees only the dashboard sections appropriate to their function.
"Still stuck"
